Unearthing Retro Realmz: The Beginnings

Hello there! I'm Nova, one of the co-owners of Retro Realmz along with my partner Andy. We are thrilled to introduce Retro Realmz and aim to establish a community as we delve into the world of seeking, collecting, and trading treasures.

For some, collecting items that bring joy or are perceived to hold future value is a passion. Andy has preserved VHS tapes from his childhood and has a Pokémon assortment comprising figurines, movies, video games, and cards. On the other hand, I have a penchant for pins/buttons, Harry Potter memorabilia, and cat figurines. Upon moving in together, we realized the excess of belongings in our home, prompting us to declutter and explore swap meets. Our debut at a flea market was successful, sparking a growing desire to buy and sell. Negotiating deals and stumbling upon special items for our collection brings us immense satisfaction beyond financial gain.

Subsequently, my aunt, a former basketball coach and devoted Michael Jordan fan, entrusted us with her Jordan trading card collection. She had preserved cards dating back to his baseball career, a fact previously unknown to me. Tasked with selling them, we eagerly seized the opportunity. Fueled by our passion, determination, and the new collection, we took a leap of faith to realize our aspiration of operating an online business specializing in collectibles and nostalgic items that bring happiness to us and others. The creation of the Retro Realmz website, our eBay sales, and participation in card shows and swap meets mark the beginning of our journey. We are thrilled to share our progress as we embark on this adventure!
